Downing Street has hit back at Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton for attacking the decision to release the Lockerbie bomber.Atlas Shrugs' Pamela Geller notes the irony that Obama's administration is preparing to prosecute CIA interrogators who helped keep our country safe from further terrorist attacks after 9/11, while agreeing to the release of a terrorist bomber who killed 270 people on PanAm flight 103, two-thirds of whom were Americans. Typically, the American mainstream media has so far failed to report this damning information about how Obama is selling out our interests to assuage the Muslim world.
President Obama and the US Secretary of State fuelled a fierce American backlash against Britain, claiming Abdelbaset Al Megrahi should have been forced to serve out his jail sentence in Scotland – but a senior Whitehall aide said their reaction was ‘disingenuous’.
British officials claim Mr Obama and Mrs Clinton were kept informed at all stages of discussions concerning Megrahi’s return.
The officials say the Americans spoke out because they were taken aback by the row over Megrahi’s release, not because they did not know it was about to happen.
‘The US was kept fully in touch about everything that was going on with regard to Britain’s discussions with Libya in recent years and about Megrahi,’ said the Whitehall aide.
‘We would never do anything about Lockerbie without discussing it with the US. It is disingenuous of them to act as though Megrahi’s return was out of the blue.
'They knew about our prisoner transfer agreement with Libya and they knew that the Scots were considering Megrahi’s case.’
Mr Obama said Megrahi’s release on compassionate grounds was a ‘mistake’ while Mrs Clinton phoned the Scottish administration to complain in person.

Obama Lied: He Knew About Planned Release Of Lockerbie Terrorist Bomber
The British government has turned fiercely against President Barack Hussein Obama in the aftermath of his feined outrage at the decision of Scottish officials to release the Lockerbie terrorist bomber after he served only a few years of his sentence. According to the Daily Mail, Prime Minister Gordon Brown's administration claims Obama knew all along about the planned released and voiced no objections. The Daily Maily writes:
Oh good, now let's start alienating our allies.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they didn't report it because it isn't true.
ReplyDelete"...Geller notes the irony that Obama's administration is preparing to prosecute CIA interrogators who helped keep our country safe from further terrorist attacks after 9/11, while agreeing to the release of a terrorist bomber..."
ReplyDeleteIrony? IRONY? I call it CRIMINAL! This is the same White House resident that celebrates Muslim holidays in the WH, but NOT Christian events.
Are you seeing a trend, yet?
Those of you who are depending upon the mainstream liberal, leftist press to tell you the truth, you have a very long wait.
First, why is it President Obama who is lying and not the British?
ReplyDeleteSecond, just because Obama and Clinton knew about the release does not mean they agreed with the decision.
Third, it seems unlikely that Scotland or Great Britain would let this terrorist loose ONLY if the U.S. approved.
The post might be right. But it have provided no evidence, only conjecture. I tend to not believe political posturing by anyone, U.S. or British.
The investigation and prosecution of this case was closely coordinated by the federal government with our FBI because of the large number of Americans on the flight who were viewed as the primary targets of this terrorist attack. The US government conditioned improved relations with Libya on the basis of recovering damages from the Libyan government for the victims' families. It always seemed inconceivable to me that our closest ally would go about freeing this man without first consulting our government. Interestingly, when public records were requested on discussions between the U.S. and Britain on this topic, British authorities said they were compelled to withhold them at the request of the Obama administration. What did the Obama administration have to hide? Why didn't they want us to know what they had discussed with the British authorities? I think we now have our answer.
ReplyDeleteHenry David Thoreau captured the nature of this blog post in one simple but profound statement:
ReplyDelete"There are a thousand hacking at the branches of evil to one who is striking at the root."
The post and the subsequent comments are so far from the root that I fear the tree is gauranteed to grow in perpetuity. It simply amazes me that people have been led so far astray from reality. By reading the original post and the subsequent comments, one almost has to believe that people actually trust the controlled media and their controlled counterparts who run the White House.
Simply put, this is a perfect example of the blind leading the naked.
