The Truth Behind Obama's Breached Passport File

Remember all the outrage from the Left when it was disclosed by the State Department that someone had obtained unauthorized access to Barack Obama's passport files early in the presidential campaign last year? It turns out there is a direct link between the firm Obama's newly-appointed national intelligence advisor ran and the person who breached Obama's file. John Brennan headed The Analysis Corp. where the State Department contract employees who breached the file worked. That same persons also breached the files of Sen. John McCain and Sen. Hillary Clinton. Their job was to "cauterize" Obama's passport file of "potentially embarrassing information" according to a Newmax report:

Obama’s top terrorism and intelligence adviser, John O. Brennan, heads a firm that was cited in March for breaching sensitive files in the State Department’s passport office, according to a State Department Inspector General’s report released this past July.

The security breach, first reported by the Washington Times and later confirmed by State Department spokesman Sean McCormack, involved a contract employee of Brennan’s firm, The Analysis Corp., which has earned millions of dollars providing intelligence-related consulting services to federal agencies and private companies.

During a State Department briefing on March 21, 2008, McCormack confirmed that the contractor had accessed the passport files of presidential candidates Barack Obama, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and John McCain, and that the inspector general had launched an investigation. Sources who tracked the investigation tell Newsmax that the main target of the breach was the Obama passport file, and that the contractor accessed the file in order to “cauterize” the records of potentially embarrassing information.

“They looked at the McCain and Clinton files as well to create confusion,” one knowledgeable source told Newsmax. “But this was basically an attempt to cauterize the Obama file.” At the time of the breach, Brennan was working as an unpaid adviser to the Obama campaign.

According to the Newsmax story, Brennan has publicly denied any connection to the employee who breached the files. What was potentially contained in those passport files is the real story here:

The passport files include “personally identifiable information such as the applicant’s name, gender, social security number, date and place of birth, and passport number,” according to the inspector general report.

The files may contain additional information including “original copies of the associated documents,” the report added. Such documents include birth certificates, naturalization certificates, or oaths of allegiance for U.S.-born persons who adopted the citizenship of a foreign country as minors.

At the time of the breach, Obama demanded a full investigation. "I expect a full and thorough investigation. It should be done in conjunction with those congressional committees that have oversight so it's not simply an internal matter," he said. Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice even issued a public apology to Obama for the breach. Although her office released an investigative report on the incident, the version released to the public was heavily redacted. The report blamed the incident on "curious" employees of the contractor. Newmax, however, cites a source as saying the purpose of the breach was to "cauterize" Obama's file.

One of the biggest cover ups in American history lives on. Your next President of the United States is not a "natural born citizen" as required by the U.S. Constitution, but the people entrusted with the power of our federal government have decided you don't need to know that fact. Forged documents are produced and government files sanitized to cover up the truth. That's what our federal government has become on so many levels. How can it maintain its legitimacy when it continues to thwart our constitution and the rule of law?

  2. Fantastic reporting. AAA+. They will hold this over Obama's head for the duration of his term. What a colossal blunder of American politics.

  4. I really feel that January 20, 2009should be a day of mourning for the passing away of America as we now know it and the Constitution which has been the law of the land for over 200 years. Obama should be sent along with all the coconspirators to jail for the rest of their lives. Of course, that is not going to happen. The people who put this man in office are in for the "change" of their lives. Everyone have their passports? bkw

  6. Watched a You Tube of Pat Robertson today speaking of his 2009 predictions, which he says were told to him by God.

He said America will accept socialism because the people are so scared.

    I'm so glad I don't have kids.
