New York Times Lies About Palin Being Member Of AIP

The New York Times and the deceitful blogs on the left have been falsely reporting that Gov. Sarah Palin was a member of the Alaskan Independence Party, which favors secession from the United States. The fact is that she has been a registered Republican since 1982 and has never been a registered member of the AIP. The McCain campaign has provided the voter registration records which prove this, but it won't make any difference to those on the Left who are hell bent on destroying Gov. Palin by any means available. Some members of the AIP claim Palin as a supporter because she visited one of their conventions in 1994, which was held in the city of Wasilia where Palin served as a council member and mayor for fourteen years. Elected officials of one party often visit the convention of another party when it meets in their city as a courtesy, particularly the mayor of the city. The drive by hits on Palin must go on. The truth be damned. The New York Times devoted its newspaper to no fewer than three hit pieces on Palin today. Yeah, we really needed to know that her husband got a DUI twenty-two years ago when he was fresh out of high school, or that Palin once was cited for fishing without a license.

  1. I can't believe McCain didn't check the Fish Offenders Registry before he selected her!

  2. Gary, check around more, she was a member, registered as a republican in 1996.
She even addressed the group in 2006 and 2008.

  3. She was never a registered member of the AIP. Her party registration records in Alaska prove otherwise. Stop lying John.

Does it matter if she was a "registered" party member rather than just supporting the Alaskan Independence Party? I can register as a Democrat and vote for a Republican, can't I?

  5. The evidence is she only registered as a Republican, and there is no evidence she supported any AIP candidate. I'm a Republican. I sometimes vote for a Democrat when the Republicans offer no real choice. That doesn't make me a Democrat. Barack Obama traveled to Kenya to campaign on behalf of cousin Odinga. Cousin Odinga promised to enforce Sharia law if he was elected. When cousin Odinga lost, his supporters burned Christian villages in protest. Does this mean Obama supports the establishment of an Islamic Republic governed by Sharia law?

Well, no you can't woolley. You don't "register" in Indiana.

Besides that, obviously those voter registration forms that McCain "produced" are FAKE! They were actually her sister's forms. Someone PhotoShopped them and changed the name! Then they uploaded them to a "vast right-wing" website for people to "find."

If she says she's not a supporter of the AIP even though she has spoken at their conventions repeatedly, I'll believe her. Just like I would believe that somebody might speak on a panel discussion with, oh, say, Louis Farrakhan, without endorsing his views. You'd agree with me, right? And that fact that AIP leaders support her as VP wouldn't mean she supports them anymore than, say an endorsement from Louis Farrakhan would mean Andre Carson supports him, right?
