Robert Novak Retires
This is very sad news. Chicago Sun-Times syndicated columnist Robert Novak has resigned effective immediately due to a "dire" prognosis for his brain tumor. According to the Sun-Times, his treatment will include radiation and chemotherapy.
I have to say that I have rarely agreed with Mr. Novak. I have typically found his manner on television repugnant.
Nevertheless, as you pointed out before, an election without Robert Novak and Tim Russert is a very odd and sad thing. Especially given the potentially historic nature of this year's campaign.
The so called "Prince of Darkness" has my thoughts and best wishes for a complete and full recovery.
Ouch - no surgery prospects? This is sad news.
