Carson Skips Out On Votes Today

U.S. Rep. Andre Carson is living up to his grandmother's tendency to miss a lot of votes in the U.S. House of Representatives despite campaign promises to the contrary. Carson missed every recorded vote taken in the House today, bringing the total number of votes he's missed to date to seven, or about 7% of the total votes. At least his grandmother had her health problems as an excuse for missing votes. Carson's excuse is politics. Carson missed two earlier votes while raising money for his congressional campaign. He spent today campaigning instead of tending to the people's business. More politics as usual from The Seed.

  2. He's quite the representative:

"Representative André D. Carson repeatedly refused to provide any responses to citizens on the issues through the 2008 Political Courage Test when asked to do so by national leaders of the political parties, prominent members of the media, Project Vote Smart President Richard Kimball, and Project Vote Smart staff.

This candidate will be asked again to provide responses during the general election.

Urge Representative André D. Carson to fill out the Political Courage Test

  3. Yep...there's some more of that CHANGE that Carson keeps promising the poor victims of the 7th Congressional District.

To be fair to Bart Lies' comment, while I am not a Carson supporter, it should be noted that most all politicians refuse to response to the Political Courage Test. For example:

"Senator John Sidney McCain III repeatedly refused to provide any responses to citizens on the issues through the 2008 Political Courage Test when asked to do so by national leaders of the political parties, prominent members of the media, Project Vote Smart President Richard Kimball, and Project Vote Smart staff.

Urge Senator John Sidney McCain III to fill out the Political Courage Test. . ."

  5. OK, so there's a general lack of Political Courage. Pity.
