Groppe Writes Puff Piece For Carson
Proving that she is going to be of no assistance in telling 7th District voters just how fast the newest member of Congress sold himself out to the special interests and lobbyists who run Washington, the Star's Maureen Groppe writes a puff piece today about how Carson's fellow black caucus colleagues are helping him out. Maureen, if you want to write press releases for Carson, then become a member of his staff. We want and demand hard news coverage from the Star's Washington bureau. We aren't getting it. That leaves it up to the blogs to get the truth out. And by the way, Maureen, we're still waiting for you to report on Carson's financial disclosure statement. Oh, that's right. You decided we don't need that information until after the May primary. We want to know how much money a city contractor, Cripe, put in Carson's pocket before he went to Congress. Remember, that's the lobbyist job he conveniently took as soon as he was appointed to the Indianapolis City-County Council. Please, do your job.
It's OK, folks...don't worry...his name is Carson...that's all you need to know.
ReplyDeleteThis is not a puff piece. It is showing how hard Andre Carson is working to represent us in the 7th district.

Give us a break...seriously, are you brain dead?
Andre is in this for himself and proves it daily.
"This is not a puff piece. It is showing how hard Andre Carson is working to represent us in the 7th district."
ReplyDeleteYes, it does: "Not Very."
You yourself mentioned The Kid on Saturday was at Forest-Manor, which turned out to be Rep Danny Davis coming in from Illinois to speak.
And now the Star reports on Rep Gwen Moore coming down from Wisconsin.
Apparently the Indiana Reps can't find time, or don't want to be associated with, The Kid. And The Kid can't handle the job himself.
Campaign commercial for The Kid:
ReplyDelete"CEOs and lobbyists have too much power in Washington and that has to change."
IndyStar reports:
"Carson has reported receiving about $150,000 in contributions since April 16. Much of the money came from Democratic members of Congress and political action committees representing such interests as mortgage brokers, insurance agents and wine and spirits wholesalers"
Another tall tale from the lips of The Seed - like the one about "I vow to not miss any votes."
