New Poll Results From WISH-TV

WISH-TV will offer new poll results from the 7th District race and the prosecutor's race tonight at 6:00 p.m. AI hears this poll will show Carson with a slight lead over Dickerson, at 48%-43%, but well below the 55% mark she polled in last month's poll. Dickerson, as shown by the WTHR-TV poll, has picked up considerable ground in his bid to unseat the 10-term congresswoman, narrowing the gap to just five points. As some argued that the WTHR-TV poll was skewed in favor of the Republicans, some will also argue that the WISH-TV poll favors Democrats. Jim Shella teases us with this bit of information about Rep. Julia Carson at his blog:

Republican Eric Dickerson wants Democrat Julia Carson's health to be an issue in the 7th. A woman working for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee questioned that strategy last week, offering that the Congresswoman looks pretty good. I pointed out that Rep. Carson's appearance changed markedly in recent years and that she's only 68. "Oh," came the response, "I thought she was, like, 80."

No doubt this will be a tight race and the only poll that matters is the one on November 7.

No doubt Dickerson is going to be out doing what he has been doing, meeting the good people of the 7th.

No doubt Julia Carson will continue to hide wherever it is she hides.

No doubt, when the polls close on November 7 Dickerson is the next representative for the 7th.

My dad who has had a heart attack, quintuple bypass, carotid artery surgery and is 86 years old gets around better than Julia, but he at least KNOWS his limitations.

And to think Dick Lugar is older than Julia, and has ten times the wit, mental acuity and elocution.

You heard correctly Gary. 48-43 in a Dem leaning poll.

Julia sounded horrible on her sound bite. She tried to laugh or chuckle and she sounded like she was coughing up a loogie instead.

  5. Once again, E.D.'s flock of covert AnonyMice have nothing positive to say about the issues E.D. espouses but continuously heap abuse on Congresslady Carson for her appearance. Real classy campaigning !

    Advance Indiana:

I just saw Carson on Channel 8 news with Shella. She looked like an 80 year tired, tired senior citizen. A gray hat was pulled down on her head, looking down at the floor as she talked. She looked drunk. Something is seriously wrong with her. She looked like she was ready to drop.

Why doesn't Julia's supporters retire her with dignity?

    DON'T EVEN GO THERE WILSON!!!!

We bring up the issues, you bring up something irrelevant like campaign funds or other crap you've gone dumpster diving to find.

I'm making observations that anyone in the general public would see. Except you that golden dome on your noggin affects your vision.

  8. One of Eric's prolific AnonyMice seems to be preoccupied with folk being drunk - I suspect she is projecting own own alcohol abuse problems onto Ms. Carson and others ...

  9. E.D. told folk he needed $200,000 to run his campaign but he couldnt even raise 1/3 that amount. Shows his planning and organizational abilities! He still wont put much of his own money into the campaign - he knows he'd just lose it Nov. 7th.

He's stringing his supporters along - he wont risk his own cash on his losing race...

Shella reports that "African American support for Julia Carson stands out. She's backed by 75 percent of black voters."

Wow - I have heard from Wilson that 90% vote Democrat.

I wonder where all that support is disappearing to ?

    Advance:

You need to verify information on some these resume's.

Reading this mornings Star article on the 7th district. Carson alleges to have attended Martin University for 2 years, 94-96, I don't thinK so! Lies on the resume.
    another sweetheart deal.

The school did give her an honorary degree in 2001, but that is all.

  14. One of the funny stories widely circulating about JT is how she threatened a professor at Martin U and was expelled - she then sued the school to get her tuition refunded! Outrageous!

Wrong as usual. Prove it! I did not sue Martin University. Keep digging.

  16. again, please delete the above clearly libelous comment from that deluded creature.

btw, the story about JT is one of the classics that circulate around Martin University! Rev. Tom Brown of Ebenezer MB Church was the teacher involved.

    Wrong again!
You are a liar and the truth is not in you. You are a complete idiot.

I know Rev. Thomas Brown personally and you have told an obvious lie!

I am going to contact Rev. Brown and inform him that you are using his name on this blogsite to smear me.

You are the one who may get sued for libel.
