The vast majority of residents in nursing homes qualify for Medicaid benefits, if not upon their entry into the nursing home, soon thereafter after spend down of their assets due to the rising costs. That continues today. That exploitation of Medicaid taxpayer money has been going on and will continue because the government does not oversee how it spends our money nor can they thoroughly investigate fraud much less stop it.
