I keep hearing 'public safety tax', 'folks are willing to pay more for public safety', and how we need to eliminate the homestead credit before asking the legislature for more 'tools'. Kenley may or may not be holding the mass transit referendum hostage - his real hostage target may be some taxes that the Council could increase by themselves and that have been brought up to him in private.<br /><br />I see where the Star went so far as to mention that its former owner was party to the mall loan turned conseco fieldhouse loan. Next editorial, maybe they'll mention that their current parent company bought out their former parent company.
