The man took out an admittedly LEGAL loan from Countrywide. Even the Wall Street Journal reported that the loans appeared to be completely legal. He was an unpaid volunteer for the whole process. I agree with Obama that pretty soon you are going to need vetters to vet the vetters to vet the vetters who should vet the vetters. When does the GOP propose the vetting process should begin and end with unpaid volunteers? This is ultimately be a non-issue.

By the way, lets look at McCain's vetters for his VP. I believe a small amount of investigation will reveal that up until about a month or so ago, one of them was a federally registered lobbyist.

Hmmmm, tough think to explain, hire federal lobbyist for vetting your vice presidential search, or hire an unpaid volunteer who took out a legal mortgage and has never been a lobbyist.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12703782.post-28231389599660378702008-06-11T14:07:00.000-05:002008-06-11T14:07:00.000-05:00Oops, he resigned already. I mean, Johnson is only "tangentially related" to the campaign...he's only vetting people who will be the second most-powerful person in Washington. We don't need to vet the vetters, as Obama said. .Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10525542680315157562noreply@blogger.com
