I think we agree in principle. I'm not convinced though in practice it is. Trying to prove a legal case of "reverse discrimination" in civil rights, employment etc. cases is nearly impossible. Would a "reverse hate crime" be equally difficult? Yes I realize that such events are rare, though just going by "law of averages" its bound to occur.

Anyone would agree - for example a white person setting fire to a black family's house in a "white" neighborhood, because they didn't want a bunch of "n-words" living there, would be considered by all means a hate crime, and investigated as such. Agree? Suppose a white family were to buy a house in Martindale-Brightwood and a group of blacks burned their house down, because they didn't want a bunch of crackers in their neighborhood. Would THAT be prosecuted as a hate crime? It should be investigated and prosecuted as a hate crime, but would it?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12703782.post-1165261944749816722006-12-04T14:52:00.000-05:002006-12-04T14:52:00.000-05:00Apply hate crimes evenly? How about applying them w...Apply hate crimes evenly?

How about applying them where the alleged violations exist?
