Park Tudor Officials Say Head Master's Suicide Unrelated To Child Porn Investigation

The Indianapolis Star's Vic Ryckaert says officials at Park Tudor released a statement saying the unfortunate suicide death of the school's headmaster, Dr. Matthew Miller, this past weekend was unrelated to an ongoing investigation of its former basketball coach for child pornography and child exploitation. The timing of his death two days after being questioned by members of the task force investigating the allegations is apparently coincidental.
"We have been repeatedly assured by law enforcement that neither the school nor any of its employees, including Dr. (Matthew D.) Miller, were targets of their investigation," interim Head of School Peter Kraft said in a message to parents emailed shortly before 5:30 p.m. Monday . . .
"We are continuing to work with law enforcement," Kraft said, "and Dr. Miller's interview was one of the standard witness interviews being conducted by the Cox investigators."
Police, Kraft said, are "not aware of any threats to the safety of our students."
The private school will host two meetings for parents on Thursday, which Kraft said will "provide parents with additional information regarding the recent events and our plans going forward."
"Be assured, we are committed first and foremost to the safety of our children and the entire Park Tudor community," Kraft said . . .
It took a few days, but this story finally earned top billing at the Daily Mail.

Yep, corrupt powers-that-be circling the wagons to protect their own.

Very rude comment. Whole school is grieving. Poor kids are dealing with this concept at a very young age. No haters please. We don't know what he was going through.

anyone else wondering if it was really a suicide and not an accidental sexual asphyxia death? Otherwise, why haven't we learned the details: who found him, was there a note, what room in the house did the death occur?

One news report I read indicated there was a suicide note left behind. The contents were not disclosed. My family still has a copy of the note my grandfather left behind when he took his life in 1932, leaving behind a wife and six young children. My father, who was not quite two at the time, later come to understand his motivations and accept them. Some of his older siblings saw it differently. His 4-year old son found him and went to my grandmother and told her his dad was hanging in the garage. Amazing how my grandmother held her large family and their farm together during very difficult economic times so that her sons were able to go on to become successful farmers.

Anon 11.06: Rude comment? You must be part of the corrupt mafia that governs this city and state.

Don't you find this other story strange" Former University of Maine President Paul Ferguson has resigned as president of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, after a year and a half in the position, school officials announced Monday. When I see dominoes
fall, I usually find a connection, maybe, maybe not! With Internet Crimes against Children learning more and more about how the pervs operate, you'll see more justice served, and more suicides! coincidence, we'll have to wait and see!

Anon 11:06...I know you think you're just being compassionate, but you're not. There's nothing wrong with his comment. It is what reasonable people are thinking. By all accounts and from the released photo, he appeared to be a successful, well-adjusted guy. We see ourselves in that way, and so we wonder just what in heaven's name would cause him to take his life. Do you wonder? Does it concern you? It should, because if he was involved in the sort of thing that often leads to suicide, then children were likely harmed. TPTB in this city have a long and well documented history of protecting their own. At least one media outlet has reported that the PoPo left with computers after visiting the headmaster last Thursday and two days later this happens? I agree with the previous commenter. If you don't question and challenge this sort of thing, you condone it, and that makes you part of the problem.
